My 95 sp sat all winter with out gas. I replaced new plugs and new gas. It cranks. when I spray starter fluid in plug hole and replace the plugs it fires up then dies. what is my problem

Welcome to the seadoo forum Bill. First DON'T use starting fluid...it doesn't have any lubrication value, and will cause more problems than it is worth. If you must, use wd-40. It will help in starting and give some lubrication to the rings and cylinder walls. Is the doo getting gas from the fuel line? It sounds like it isn't getting any fuel. Check to see if the fuel in line separator has fuel in it too. Check the vent line from the fuel tank and be sure it isn't plugged. Than give it a shot ans see it it fires up. If you still having problems give us a shout back and we'll try to help you some more. This is a friendly place with many active members here eager to help.

There are quite a number of "not starting" threads that never seemed to have the loop closed on them...

I have another thread about my 97 GTX not starting and I was going to try WD-40 in the cylinder. However WD-40 is a very mild solvent. As a replacement for what you recommend, Karl, would the teflon based spray lubricants be a good idea? ...And also to be used as a replacement for the spray lubricant that SeaDoo recommends using for fogging and other stuff.

hey Bill,...sounds like fuel system related, great though, from sit'n and neglected, that it still fires up. I'd get a rebuild kit, and replace grey lines,...etc
Bronco....I think the majority of the time, the loop isn't close, due to fact, that 90% of time, the last post, mentions to get back to us, and there so stoked, that last they forget, cuz they got their s@&t fixed. Trust me, if the last post, didn't fix it, they'll be back....
