Just picked up a 2008 speedster 150 - 215 hp. It has 120 hours on the boat and a new motor (old one had freeze damage over the winter). New experience for me but in the test run I was suprized how smooth and pleasant the ride was.

Anything to be on the lookout for?

The super charger needs to be serviced at 100 hours and you need to make sure it has the new metal washers not the old ceramic ones. If it's a new engine it's probably already done but you want to make sure

The rest of the story... Boat had a SBT premium rebuilt put in last year and has 25 hours on it since then. Install was done by a private mechanic, that I am trying to identify and contact to see if a supercharger service was done. I can't imagine someone would put a 3K motor in without servicing the SC, but if I can't find out for sure, I will pull it myself and send it in.

The previous owner, who I know and trust, bought it last year after the rebuild and just has to many boats and didn't use it much.

Kind of interesting, but I will get it sorted out.

The boat runs really well and is much fun.

Any way to see if the SC is new or rebuilt without pulling it??
