hi everyone,
i was out on the jet ski today, everything was great. had a rest. then got back on the jet ski. started the engine and i was getting a whinning noise when i put more thottle on and no propulsion.
this is a seadoo rx millenium edition
i have taken the grate off the bottom of the impellor housing to have a feel. impellor is warn but still should get propulsion.
does the drive shaft surposed to turn both directions and it fells rough to turn?

any ideas anyone
thanks
jason

when you turn the shaft from the inside of the hull can you have someone check to see if the impeller is turrning ? The no thrust has me stumped.

the shaft im turning is the one with the impellor on it from underneath the seadoo were the water comes in,

make sure the ski is turned off and no one trying to start it. Go in the aft of the ski and grab the impeller and try turning the impeller by hand and see if your drive shaft is turning, if they both are turning then have someone try to hold the driveshaft by hand and try to turn the impeller while they hold the drive shaft and try not to let the driveshaft turn....let me know what you find from this.....

i have found the problem, the engine is not turning the drive shaft, coupling that is bolted to the flywheel has stripped the splines
