No throttle response/abnormal ignition response

Hey there,
I put up a post earlier but think I made it too long and confusing...I just got a 2005 Sea Doo Challenger 180 with 215hp rotax4 supercharged engine.

PROBLEMS:
At random the engine wont start
At random the safety lanyard automaticly starts the boat without touching the start button and get no response to shut off engine
The boat has almost zero power even when pu in full throttle as in not much more than idle speed

WHAT I KNOW:
The boat has been sitting for 8 months
Checked the battery and it seems to have a good charge

Any Suggestions?

Wearing rings.....

If you go to wide open throttle and the engines respond, but you don't move anywhere, sounds like your wearing ring is shot.

As for the start/stop situation?........that sounds like a pretty major short going on somewhere. It will be hard to diagnose.
