No rubber driveshaft bumper on a 02 GTX ??

Just finishing up my parts list for the 2002 GTX project & I am confused why there is no rubber bumper listed on the impeller end of the driveshaft. When I test fit the shaft into the prop, its seems like there should be one. Whats the deal on this application? weird, or am I just too used to the older 2-stroke setups?
