No response from my ski!

Hey Guys, sorry, I've searched the threads for a similar issue that I am having and wasn't lucky. I have a 2001 RX and the displays don't turn on, I get no beeps from the key. I put a new battery in as well and checked all the fuses and all are good. I didn't have a voltmeter available so I haven't checked the wires. I just got the ski back up and running on Sunday. It ran great for 40 minutes with plenty of start and stopping. Never had a problem. I let it sit in the driveway until today. I took it to a dealer to get a new key made for it. Apparently it problems at that point. Supposedly the technician was able to get power long enough to make the key. At one point we were able to get 2 beeps from the new key. However, we could never get it to start. It wouldn't do anyting. Display worked a couple of times briefly. It just doesn't do anything at all. What do I need to look for at this point???

if it's not loose wires... then either your post went bad, or the MPEM went bad.

Go buy a cheap meter, and start checking things.

When you mention post, do you mean the Lanyard post or one of the battery post? Sorry, just want to confirm. Also, even when I press the Start button without the key, the displays are suppose to turn on. That does not happen. So, would that mean that it is the Post still or does that point directly to the MPEM?
I will look at the wires tonight when I get home from work.

Try to hold the key in the lanyard post really tight while you cranck it,
i have a simillar problem and end up been the post.
