no power

my 1997 seadoo challenger has no power when i try to accelarate. the rpm's are there but the boat goes nowhere. had the same problem end of last season, had jet pump rebuilt over winter, put it in the water saturday, same problem. what could be the problem? im lost.

Sounds like the wear ring!!!

thats what i thought it was. brought pump to a seadoo dealer, they said wear ring was fine. pump needed to be rebuilt. had some damage internally. dont know much about jet boats. 1st one i ever owned. but anybody i talked to said the same thing. wear ring.

visually/feeler gauge...check the gap between wear ring and impellor, looks/registers over 1mm, replacement recommended
