No power to my 2003 gti le help

the starter key .when i put the key on the key thing i get not a sound and will not turn over i have checked all fuses and power everthing gets power could this have become deprogramed? help

I would start by cleaning the Post on the safety lanyard. It is beeping and saying it isn't connecting to the Mpem, (Multi Purpose Electronic Module) It needs to beep 2 times to let you know it is ready to start. Clean the post and cap with soapy water. Don't use any grease of lubricant on it as it needs a clean connection to make contact. Connect the lanyard to see if it is making a connection. 2 beeps and it's ready to fire up.

Did all that.like i said it gets power all over even to the post but no beeps nothing not a sound not even a click could it have come deprogramed?

If the engine starts...Some times the beeper is bad. Feel it for a vibration as it just might not be beeping. If that is the case it can be replaced from Radio Shack for less than $15.00.

My '99 GTX RFI's get power without the DESS key connected. All I have to do is press the start/stop button for a few seconds to power up the digital display on the dash. If you had the incorrect key, it would beep once. So my thinking is that if your key somehow lost its programming, the system would read it as an incorrect key, no?

2003 gti le Help

i get no beep at all i get power all over accept going to the starter relay i checked the plug going there and it has no power but i jump the relay and the starter will start.
