Have two gti's one 98 and 04 both ski's ran last weekend fine although had to jump start 98 one at start of day. Kids wanted to use them this weekend went to start older one no beeps nothing so thought battery again, swapped in charged battery and same result, fuel gauge and red light at bottom will come on but no beeps no start, when DESS pulled fuel gauge stayed up. thought on well will start 04 one at least, put DESS on motor turned for a while i stopped it, then pushed starter and nothing pulled DESS and put it back on nothing. Have cleaned both with rags and detergent, checked all fuses. Any ideas or is it off to the thieving service department
