No power...any suggestions?

Hello, I have a 2001 GTI. When I put it in the water for the first time this year, it would only go a little faster than an idle pace when I held the throttle all the way down. I ran it for at least 15 minutes, hoping that maybe the engine was just cold and needed to warm up some before it would kick in, but it never did. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

ahh going to need a little more information.

Whats your compression?
How do you plugs look?
Whens the last time your wear ring has been replaced?
Does the motr rev up and the ski goes no where?

The plugs look ok. I did check them. Not sure about the wear ring. I'll take a look at that. The motor revs, and it does go some, but not much more than at idle speed. I'll try to get some more info together and post it. Thanks for your help!

Check your jet pump, may have bad bearings check oil in jet pump.
