Just went to the local dealer to get some oil for a change in prep for summer...OUCH!! First found out that SeaDoo no longer makes (or provides) the XPS full synthetic. The replacement is now a synthetic blend that costs $20 a quart... un frekin unbelievable. $220 for two filters and 9 quarts of oil. I know the great debate but I do like full synthetic oil. I ended up buying the oil as I am not sure what a good replacement full synthetic oil would be for the 4-tec 4 stroke. Pitty is I only have 20 hours on the ski's since the last change but have only had them out every 6 weeks or so over the winter and the idea of old (time wise) oil just kills me and it will make me feel better to have fresh in them for the summer. Anyone have any ideas or know of a good synthetic oil for the GTI SE 155??????

I like amsOil

I bought my ski's for MI. And many places have AmsOil everywhere and that's what he used in the ski's I just bought. Look them up on line

Wow $220! I just bought what sea doo calls a "maintence kit" and I only paid about $50 bucks for it. The kit came with 1 gallon of the new xps oil, 2 o rings, 1 filter, 3 spark plugs, and instructions

What are you talking about?

I know BPR changed there oils last year because of the E-Tech motors. They changed the bottles as well, and increased the price. But the E-tech where to run blend, which gives better protection because it sticks more then full yet clogs up the exhaust valves alot more.

Just go to another dealer, buy Castrol because they make BPRs oil or go ams oil.

BPR or BRP?

Seems the last time I did research on oils, the full synthetic is more efficient than blend and provides a stronger molecular bond, covering more surface of the bearing than blend. Because it covers more of the bearings surface, it provides more protection from friction and allows less heat, it would be the better of the two oils............
