hi, new to the 4-tech forum but I am a 2 stroke guy so here goes, received a call from a buddy this weekend said his 05 wake edition which he just bought wont start. battery was dead. so he bought a new one and we installed it and it started and ran fine for about 3 hrs and then would not start again. put old charged battery in and started right up and runs good on water. I noticed on the gauge a blinking red light next to the ! I put a load tester on the battery as it was running and I am getting no charge at all. stays around 12 volts. The machine runs great until the battery runs low. so I have a good battery and the battery terminals are clean. don't no much about the charging system on the 4 strokes but this seems straight forward enough that if the battery was charging we would be ok. what can I do from here to find what is wrong. thanks in advance if you can help

Start looking for week connections...kinked wires...ect. Also check the plug-in connections on the top aft starboard corner of the motor.

on Friday I went to the ski and found the 30 amp fuse for the charging system was no good. replaced that took battery cables off and cleaned them and tighten them down well. they where not as tight as I thought. started engine up and was charging around 14 volts. ran all weekend with no problem. thanks all for the help

Glad to hear it! It's awesome that Sea-Doo.net (Perry Performance Group) makes those digital shop manuals available to everyone.
