i put a battery in my 03 rxdi and there was no beep when i put the dess in like a week before it worked and started can anyone tell me what is wrong??

Does it still turn over without the beep?

A ski is not supposed to turn over if the DESS key is not recognized, that's the point of the security system.
Of course, you can bypass the key by shorting the solenoid posts together to turn the starter, but that's inconvenient at best.
This may sound like a silly question....but did you put the battery in correctly? Pos to Pos, Neg to Neg? and are all your connections - clean, bright and tight? And of course, are you using the right DESS key?

I was wounded if if the beeper was just dead
@DaddyLoafin is asking if it started but no beep? As this would point to just a bad beeper which is very common.

And also if you have not beep your start/stop could be bad because I had to replace & pulse the battery & than it worked

I recently replaced the beeper on my DI with a Floyd Bell XC-09-330-W. Bought it on e-bay for $25 shipped and it was a perfect fit, super loud too!
