No 2 Beeps? Multi Purpose Electronic Module??

No two Beeps when i connect the lanyard to the ski although it does start and run just fine...

What does the Multi Purpose Electronic Module do and will my Ski run and start with a bad Multi Purpose Electronic Module?

thanks in advance I searched but only found diagnostic stuff not actually what it does and if it is NEEDED to run and operate the ski.

the beeper is nice when you overheat it. it beeps at you. but they rarely overheat.

nice to know.... where is the beeper located? ( just a 12V beep horn right??)

The MPEM is required to operate all the electronics of the seadoo.If the beeper is disconnected you 'll won't know what is going with your seadoo. It can tell you if the Lanyard is working correctly or if it overheats, or remind you if you forget to disconnect you lanyard after you shut it off. Some times the beeper is bad. Feel it for a vibration as it just might not be beeping. If that is the case it can be replaced from Radio Shack for less than $15.00.

I personally would have the beeper working especially if it over heats...so you know.
