NMEA 2000 upgrade??

Hello,

I have a 2008 Seadoo Challenger 230 SE with the two 215 Rotax 4tec engines. I was wondering what I would need to start upgrading the old analogue gauges etc to digital NMEA 2000 enabled devices. Do I need two Yacht devices adapters (one for each motor) or can I just get away with one?

What would you all recommend?

You can add N2K to each motor, but I believe the 08 needs to have the gauge cluster stay.

You would need one YD for each engine. This thread may help, it's what I did with my 05:

I picked up an older 2005 Challenger 180 in great shape. The analog electronics stopped working like most have experienced.

I sent the Tach and fuel gauge back to Faria to be repaired and they did a very quick turn around and fixed the gauges. Not nearly as cheap as some have posted here, but quick turn around just the same. That helped me verify what's working. So now everything works as expected in factory condition. Great place to start.

Now While waiting for those gauges to be returned, I decided to install the Yacht Devices YDEG-04n engine translator. Also it did not go as easily as...
