There is a nipple coming out of the top of the oil tank and is not hooked to anything.

There is also a long rubber clear line that is just laying in the hull, maybe 36" long, that attaches to a one-way valve on the front side of the hull, just near the waterline. I have it plugged because I didn't know where it belonged.

Does this hose hook up to that nipple? See part number 19 at the top in picture...that is the nipple I refer to.

No, the oil niple is just a vent to allow air in as the oils is used. most likely the hose you are talking about attaches to the battery. there is a vent on the side that needs to be vented outside the hull.

Thanks!!!

I was wondering if anyone was going to respond to this question.

That would explain why the hose is so long!

Gonna go check my battery to make sure the new one has the vent...
