Just bought a clean gtx 951. I put about 8 hours on it. Now it has total of 238 hours. Started running bad on the last ride. Changed spark plugs and it was fine the rest of the day. Decided to check compression. Bad at 110 and 70. Crazy it still runs pretty good. Anyways, pulled rave valves and pto piston top ring is broke. Noticed spark plugs had some moisture on them when pulled, ski has been sitting for a day. Also raves have oil sludge build up that seems a little milky. I’m new to jet ski engines. Is this moisture normal for sitting a day without being fogged. Possible water ingestion/ oil contamination issue? Or is this ski just finally tired?

All 951’s do the plug moisture thing and is why they should be fogged after every day of riding.

You are going to need a complete new top end with bored cylinders and a new crank since 951 cranks with over 200 hours almost never survive a new top end.

Pulled the motor today and got it all apart. Bottom end looks and feels fine. Wondering what to do with head. Broken ring bounced and beat up head. I’ll attach some pics see what you think.
