Newboe Here: Speedo Question

Just purchased a 2000 RX and the Speedo doesn't work.

Any troubleshooting advice?

Does it work while the engine is running on the trailer if you shoot it with a stream of pressure from a garden hose? If not then you probably have an open connection somewhere.

No...had it in the lake on Saturday and analog speedo is pegged on ZERO.

You say 'open connection' where/how do I check?

The sender for it, I believe, is in the rear by the impeller/pump housing. It looks like a paddle. I think on yours. I'm not 100% sure. Or you have a bad connection. Or the speedo is bad.
