newbie with throttle problems

i have a 96 gtx when i hit the throttle the darn thing stuck open when i went to release my thumb do i need a rebuild kit or what else could it be???

I would check the linkage before you start up your seadoo. There is a check list of things to do before you just assume everything is ready to go have fun. The first thing is the carb. linkage must return to idle. It might be a bad cable or mis-adjusted cable.
