2003 Sea Doo GTX 4-tec Supercharged -35 hours
I am very mechanically inclined, but new to PWC.
My Sea Doo (SD) hesitates from idle and takes a while to gain speed (30 mph top) while feathering, almost as if it is slipping a gear or not engaging the transmission (yes, I know these don't have transmissions). From the searches I believe the wear ring may have been damaged by some rocks I heard in the intake (i immediately turned the SD off until I could remove the rocks). What o-ring/grease etc. should be changed during wear ring replacement?
Also, what other preventative maintenance should I do on the ski besides oil/filter/plugs which have already been done. Recommended vendors for parts (I noticed somewhere that some vendors support this site)?
I hear the Supercharges on the 2003s don't have ceramic washers - can someone verify?
Also while waiting to trailer the SD, I noticed it took on quite a bit of water. What could be the cause? Is there a good thread on leaks?
