Just bought a 1999 seadoo speedster that doesnt run right, kinda acts like it starves for fuel. While i had it in the water yesterday i noticed the exhaust was spraying water out around some plugs that are welded in it. What are these plugs for and how can i repair them? Would this have any affect on the fuel flow to the engines? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the new boat! Do a quick search on here for exhaust leaks or similar, and you'll find that those plugs from the manufacturer are famous for rusting through and then leaking. Once that happens, the engine will run like crap. Guys on here have used everything from JB Weld to taking the pipe off and getting the plugs Tig welded.

There are two posts about this on the first page of this "2-Stroke SeaDoo Sport Boat Forum" alone. Very common it seems.

Yep... the plugs can be fixed on the pipe.

But... if you think there is a fuel issue... chances are... there is. I would check the filters, and clean the carbs.
