I very much enjoyed the maiden voyage in a new Challenger 215 last weekend. But steering at low speeds was difficult. Is this characteristic of this model or should I look for something wrong? Thanks, Frank

This is pretty normal, takes alittle getting used to. Once you get used to it though you'll never want to go back.

Dont over correct.. Jet boats constantly move forward due to propulsion... you just need to play around with the boat and figure out the small things..
Try just tapping the throttle instead of holding it steady, dont crank the wheel one way or the other.. Its all about getting use to driving a jet powered boat..

take her out into some wide open calm water and learn how it reacts to turning at slow speeds and how it reacts when going from FWD to Rev etc. Basically get to where you cant smash into anything n practice!
