I was taking some tight turns and getting the front edge in the water to get it to turn really sharp. I took alot of water over the bow and right onto me numerous times. I then noticed it was alot easier to turn and was thinking i was heavy. After i slowed down i kept having water come over the bow. I got home and the engine has all salt residue on it from the salt water... what should i do?

Wash it?.......

How about taking a hose to it? I think that might work.

Everything in your engine compartment is sealed from the water. You should be able to liberally spray it down with water. I suggest you do it before the salt crystalizes on your components, then shorts everything out.

Salt (sodium chloride) is one of the best conductors of electricity. It wil short out circuits between positive and negative currents as if you put a jumper wire between them.

Was it of after every ride in the salt water. Then, get some spray on silicone grease and lubricate everything. You can also use WD-40, it displaces water.
