New To Me SeaDoo 2006 Sportster 155hp 4Tec

Hi everyone!

Just purchased a 2006 Sportster 4-Tec 155hp with 70 hours on it.

How do I tell if I have the Edition 1 or Edition 2?

What are the common issues so I can get a head of them?

And where is the best place to get a cover when in the water, and where is best place to get a Bimini Top ( non tower)?

We just purchased an 04' Sportster and a few things that needed immediate attention was a Full Maintenance (Oil, Filter, Plugs and drained old fuel out), replaced the wear ring, replaced the engine compartment exhaust blower, blown fuse in the charging system, ski post stop clip, rear latch cable (Too stiff) and spare Key (Very Important) I have the OEM Tower which needed welding, previous owner towed a tube off it (Big No No). That's what I can add for you other than they are a BLAST and great for tubing. I have heard a lot of good things about Poppy Covers but mine lives on a boat lift. We have the Hydro Turf and Stereo ready to install next week.....that's just fun stuff though

Hey cool sounds like a lot of fun.

Are you towing a tube with the Center ski pole that pops up?

I will have my docked for easy and frequent access and use.

I’m wondering if I should get a cover or a Bimini Top? Thoughts?

It would be ideal to have a cover that can accommodate the Bimini when down.
