I've had the boat in for service for 3 weeks and the mechanic won't talk to me on the phone.

Please tell me if this is normal.

1. In neutral the boat moves at 4.5 mph. Makes it tough to dock or land and depart from a dock going that fast.
2. The throttle will not stay in position under way. I have to constantly hold the throttle at speed.

Anyone???

No, not normal likely just needs some adjustment to the reverse bucket.

The throttles can get loose over time but there is a way to adjust them to add more friction to the lever movement so they stay in place. Both should be easy fixes.

I have the 2006 utopia 205 310 hp twin 155 4tec rotax

I feel the same way about the docking and launching.

So I point the boat front for launch now.

The throttle is abit of a hassle to tight or to loose. But you'll get to know it as you go. There is also a clicking it should do when your in neutral locking it in place.
