New Stereo but can't use stereo on/off switch

Hi,

I'm installing a new stereo on 2007 Seadoo Challenger 180SE which has 12v accessory (ignition) connection to turn the stereo on. The stereo on/off ignition switch is supplying 1v which is not enough to turn the stereo on. I know I can connect both 12v cables together but then the stereo can be turned on any time. I would still like to use the factory on/off switch on the boat. Any suggestion on how I can wire this to make it work?

You can tap any of the wires feeding power to the gauges. They turn on and off with the engines, or key, depending on how the boat is set up.

Thanks for the reply. I resolved the problem, it was the accessory fuse, once replaced no more issues.
