Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I posted. I finally bit the bullet and bought a much needed Bimini top from J&m campers for my 2009 speedster 150. I'm going to attempt to install it myself. It comes with instructions but I'm not very handy and wanted to ask opinions on do's and dont's and other tips that will help me do a successful install. I'm getting ready for the 4th of July weekend at fort Myers beach and want to have it installed by then. Thanks in advance for all your help out there.

Well, installed the bimini top from jm campers. It was a pretty easy process but a little time consuming for me. I got the black one to match the black hull on my speedster 150. I will post some pics of it sometime this week. My wife says I should have gotten the red one to match the red on the top. What do you guys think?

Thanks I thought the black looked nice too. I am not at all handy and I was able to do the install. The main thing is getting the measurements right before you drill. If I can do it anyone can. If you get it from JM campers it will have all the screws and instructions you need.

No sorry I did not take pictures of the install. My phone fell in water that day and I did not have a camera. I felt really bad about not being able to contribute to the forum on this install.

I assumed JM wasn't selling these anymore given the screwed up state of their website for the biminis and the fact that they didn't respond to an email after 2 weeks. I ended up finding a new OE one for $425 shipped on eBay and went with that.

incognito... Any chance of seeing a few photos of the BLACK bimini open? Im trying to decide on RED or BLACK for my 09 255HP?

Thanks in advance!!!

TJ

Looks great. That's why I took my bimini off; I could not stand up. If I get my boat working again and GF wants I might put it back on.

it was pretty good. Shipping was fast and all items were received. I would certainly recommend them and use them again in the future.

I bought a new Bimini from Amazon in light grey and I'm able to stand up. Since I'm 6' 1" or 73 inches tall, I still have a few inches to spare. The Bimini is also wider by 12 inches (front to back) and provides more shade especially for the captain and first mate in the bucket seats. Used all the stock hardware and didn't move any original hardware.

It is a Norestar Boat Bimini Top cover with booth 79-84 inch wide in Grey. I bought it thru Amazon and sold by NS Marine & Leisure and paid 159.99 with free shipping. Got the bimini in about three days and installed in about 30 minutes since I used the boats factory hardware. The bimini comes with all the stainless hardware which I kept as spares. I purchased the Bimini on May 11, 2015 but now they have raised the price to $187.76. Go figure.

I'm real happy with the quality of the product and easy install. Looks great and now I have a choice of two Bimini. One I can't stand up under and one which I can. IMG_20150513_111637292_HDR - Copy (3).jpg
