hey guys its has been awhile...new job and moving. Anyways, I came across a deal too good to pass up while looking for a ski for our daughter. 1996 Seadoo GTI so clean you could eat out of the engine bay. Even came complete with battery tray and two battery bungees. The ski was stored in a climate controlled garage since new. Owner did not know why it would not start and run well so he decided to sell it. The owner did not know how to work on them and his brother did prior maintaince before moving. the only shop around here is apparently a shade tree mechanic who wanted to charge him 80 per hour to figure out what was wrong. owner didn't want to pay an open ended bill so he decided to sell. When I looked at it the ski it still had the grey lines so I'm sure the interior carb filters are completely plugged and this is why it slowly started running worse over the years and got harder to start. The ski pulled 130psi on each jug so I got a steal for 550 dollars with original matching seadoo trailer. When I took the carbs off it looked like two singles made into a double through linkages. Each carb has its own return line and they were made into a Y to form a single return fuel line. Both carbs have their own throttle plate and the oil injection was connected to the PTO carb while the throttle was connected to the MAG carb. Never seen this set up before on dual carbs and cant imagine seadoo making that factory. I am thinking someone changed them to two singles and connected through linkage kit. What do you guys think?? I don't see any problems running this set up as long as the oil injection is securely setup and both carbs synchronized like normal, do you?
