Happy Spring My Fellow Sea-Dooers..

This is my first full Summer coming up..

Started my Sportster 1800 (1999) For the first time this year..

What should be done for the boating summer ahead ?

Example..What are the best Spark plugs to pick up for the Sportster.. ??

1. Change spark plugs. NGK - BR8ES
2. Change oil filters. WCSS has them for a couple bucks each.
3. Change fuel filters. Local auto parts store - fram G3
4. Grease driveshaft. Waterproof grease (I thought all grease was waterproof...silly me.)
5. Change oil in jet pumps. Full synthetic gear oil. Local parts store, or BRP dealer.
6. Check wear ring and change if necessary. Recommend only OEM.
7. Lubricate cables. Inspect for wear.
8. Make sure battery is good and connections are clean.
9. Close drain holes and add boat to water.
10. Start motors and have fun.
