will a new prop make my ski faster? do they have different pitches in them like boat props? if so what would be a good one for a 1995 GTX with 657X engine with dual carbs?right now it has ok hole shot with ok top speed

Hole shot.....
David, they do make aftermarket impellers with degree pitches that either increase your top end or hole shot.
There's only one problem. If you change the pitch for a better hole shot, your engine RPM's will wind up on the speed limiter before you reach the speed you were used to going.
If you elect to get a degreed impeller for top end, then you'll have a slower hold shot. Normally, when someone wants to mod for a good top end, they also make changes to the bottom end.
Most mods I see here in the forum are either with Riva kits or Solas impellers. I don't know about the modding world because I've learned in the past, if your not racing for money, the extra couple mph gained in speed, isn't worth the $500 to $1000 bucks in the investment to do it.
