So I'm a proud new owner of a 1997 Challenger 1800. I've only had it home for 2 days and this forum has been extremely helpful. Right now I'm curious about my 2-stroke oil in my reservoir. The previous owner said that he only took the boat out once in the last 2 years or so. I'm thinking it would be wise to empty and replace the existing oil. But, the current oil is a teal green color. It's almost a translucent version of the Sea Doo green of my seats. Can I determine the brand/type of oil from the color? Anyone know of an API TC oil that is green, because if it is the tw3 oil, I think maybe I should replace my oil lines as well. thoughts?

Last teal green I saw was wally-world supertech tw3. As long as your oil lines are not grey or deteriorating, don't replace them. To be safe just flush the old unknown oil out of the system, then refill with the known stuff and purge the air.

Yep, it's most likely TCW3, I would drain it, change the filter refill with API-TC oil and bleed the system. Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the oil injector lines.

Could possibly also be Amsoil Injector Oil which is a bluish - green color, but is also the wrong oil.

Thanks guys, I'll drain, change filter and bleed.

Am I right on these sizes of Tygon for the lines?
Injector pump to carbs - 3/32"
Big return lines and lines to bottom end - 1/2"
medium lines from oil tank to injector pump - 5/16"

Also, do you have any hints for moving around in the engine compartment? Or is it just a pain in the ass shoving your body into there? Should I remove the tuned pipe to get to the injector lines?
