Hey guys,
I just bought a 95 Seadoo SPI and am curious how to go about
winterizing it.. its getting cold FAST in missouri!!
Also, it runs great, but where is a good site for parts for it if needed, including a complete engine???

I also just recently purchased a 95 spi, so far a great ski. How much did you pay for it? For winterizing my skis, i shoot anti freeze in the holes where the sparks go, then i run it until the anti freeze runs through the back of it. I also take out the battery and trickle charge it all winter, i fog the spark plugs, and obviously stable in the fuel and I make sure to fill the fuel to the top. Theres a thread on the website showing you the procedures for winterizing and dewinerizing, for if its all neccesary im not sure. But ive been doin it this way for quite awhile and my skis havent had any problems. Enjoy your ski!

Thanks

I bought it for 800. which I think is great considering it fires up immediately and has great compression.. Looks good too.

wow whats the odds... I bought mine for 800 to! Mine also starts up easy. Did you get a trailer to? Mine came with one place kravan trailer.

Hell yeah super deal. The trailer alone costs more than that. You can get the hose attachments at any marine shop, bass pro shop or even online on ebay.

Buying my 1st Ski

Hi Guys

i just sold my boat to buy a jet ski.
i am wanting a 3 seater & only want to spend around 9k. I looked a 2002 GTX RFI. Can anyone tell me please if these are a good ski or should i be looking for another model.
I have been told dont buy a fuel injected and others have told me to buy. Any one able to help me please.
Cheers
Ben

GTX RFI question....

Ben, welcome to the forum....

The GTX RFI is a nice model ski. I wouldn't pay 9k for it though.

The issues your hearing about is the DI motor. There are two kinds of fuel injection, the RFI (rotax fuel injection) and the DI (direct injection). Both are good skis but if you get a DI with a problem, it's hard to trouble shoot. Because it injects fuel on the high pressure side, it uses additional components that the RFI doesn't. The compressor, fuel pump and regulator are prone to failure. But, if you get one that works well, it's a hard running machine...............
