So the shop that services my boat tried to send my MPEM out for repair, only to have it returned to sender......guess the person that was doing to repairs just took off without telling anyone. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get a replacement MPEM for a 96 speedster, p/n 278-000-801. Quiet frankly $1200 for a new MPEM on a boat that only costs $3600 kinda sucks, to put it nicely. Any help would be welcome.

Thanks.

Mpem?

How do you know the MPEM is bad? Did you test it?

You might try and search the net or areas near you for a boat bone yard. I know what you mean about the cost of these things. That's like the biggest downside to having any marine engine. They all have a module and they all cost out the yang'-yang'...........:ack:

5A fuse kept blowing, and the shop I take the boat too did a few elimination tests to determine the root cause. Bad MPEM.
