recently picked up a 1995 gtx with 717 motor, needed to replace MPEM. got one (new) that does not need programing , by-pass's DESS key. Can anyone supply a connection diagram? I have matched up the wires by color but a few are a guess. Thanks

I'll assume this is an aftermarket mpem. These are hit or miss. Google aftermarket seadoo mpem, you'll see the schematics for those mpems. If not use Google images and you'll see the pinout. Just make sure you find the right one. For your future reference, Minnetonka4me is a member here who sells used parts and could have set you up so it would have been plug and play. I'm sure it would have come with a guarantee too.

I have unlocked this thread as I believe the OP has deleted the other duplicate thread.

The '95 GTX had a non dess 278000423 mpem that worked with the timing spec for both the 657x original engine, and the 717 (720)
motor. Both engines use the same part number 4-wire stator/flywheel combination. That mpem was also DESS capable for the '95XP.

Get a wire diagram from the Seller/manufacturer and compare with your shop manual wire diagram.
