Hi everyone!!
Right im new to these sea doo jet boats.. Ive owned a 5meter rib before but now i fancy one of these.
Basically ive put a deposit down on a seadoo sportster le di. Its a 2005 model. 130bhp rotax engine. Is there anything i need to look out for with it? The only things i could fault with it was the steering was mega stiff. But i think that might just need lubing up as it has been sat for 2 years. Also when he connected the hose up to it we could only run the engine for about a minute because then the overheat alarm came on? Surely it can be run for longer than that before it overheats?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Cheers Gordon!

Welcome to the forum Gordon. Depending on how corroded the steering cable is, you may have to replace it. In regards to running it on a hose, typically it shouldn't be run for more than a minute anyway. You do know the procedure, right? Start engine, turn on water.... Turn off water, then turn off engine.

I hear that the Di's are good motors, but expensive to repair compared with the carburated models.

Post any follow up to this in the 2-stroke Boat section of the forum, and good luck.
