Again thanks for helping me on the roll over problem, but now i have sucked up a rock or something immediately after that it would rev up when trying to take off but it still had top end i checked i didnt see anything stuck in it, but the impeller was a little chewed up.First question what is the pump made up of is it the motor turning that shaft and sucking the water up through the bottom of the ski and the impeller throwing out the back to thrust you forward? probaly a dumb question but im trying to learn how all this works. You guys have saved me a ton of money already i know i can fix it once i know how every thing works, i used to be 4 wheeler man im liking the water alot better but still learning how these things work. i guess my question is do think its the impeller or something else, it ran fine before that. THANKS SPLM

Well Splm, the impeller is made up of stainless steel or it could still be the aluminum stock unit. The pump is made up of cast aluminum I believe. The pump works on the theory that the water enters inside the grate under the ski and is thrusted out the rear of the pump nozzle to propel it forward. If the clearance is great around the impeller and pump it will loose some of its thrust to propel the ski forward.
I hope this helps you. I have no specs on the clearance allowed because this is a seadoo forum...I have no information at hand for Kawasaki, even though I was trained technician on Kawasaki years ago...I don't have any manuals for that model.

impeller?

Thanks KUSTOM CARL thats kinda how i thought it worked. Do you have any suggestions on what i should do? it has the factor aluminum impeller. From the symtoms i told you does it sound like a impeller problem, i was kind of wanting to put a stainless steel impeller on there anyway or is that a bad idea? One other question is doesnt look to hard to do but is there alot of technical stuff that goes with it. THANKS SPLM
