OK so my wife talked me out of the 180 Challenger. She thought it was too big and we really only want a small boat (just a step larger than a jet ski).

I found a guy who is an ex-Seadoo dealer who has 2 "new" 2008 150s. He claims they are factory wrapped. I have not seen them yet but plan to go over later this week.

This is a great forum and wanted to get some thoughts.

1) Price (isn't it always number 1). He is asking ~15,000. This seems out of whack. Nada is ~10,500. I was thinking about offering 12.
2) I am a big guy. I have not been in one of these yet but can a 6'4" guy fit behind the wheel?
3) Is there any concern about a boat that has been sitting so long (other than the terrible depreciation which I do not want to own ;-))

Any other guidance is a big help.
Thanks in advance

Unless you can get them for the NADA or KBB price... I wouldn't touch them. First... if you don't like it, that's all it's worth. Second... if he's an "EX-dealer" I don't know if there will be any warranty on the boat. Third... even if there is a warranty... who will service it for you?

Last thing... if he's an Ex-dealer... he may not have the legal ability to sell a "New" Vehicle. Every state is different on that one, and in PA, you need to have a current dealers license to sell a new vehicle. (or to buy and sell more than 10 vehicals in one year)
