Sorry to start a thread just for this question, but after digging in the bottom of my speedster with a magnet and flashlight, it seemed the thing to do just to ask here.

I took my neutral safety switch out of the shift lever today to make sure it checked out with ohm meter and to clean it. Low a behold the one phillips screw holding it in fell to the bottom.

does anyone have any idea what size screw this is, so that I can just go get another?

Thanks for the help!

Don't know the size off the top of my head... but I'll have my levers out tomorrow, and I can tell you then.

Well..... I hate to say it... but the "Merc" control levers are a little different. My neutral switch is on posts, and clipped in. (sorry)

Hey NO problem.. I was just about to PM you and tell you i found a screw that works perfect. A M3-50x20 Metric. Maybe this thread will help for the next person that will drop their neutral safety switch screw! i just went to hardware store and got assortment of small metric screws and brought them home and started trying til i found the perfect one!

GUYS..Don't we wish we could do that with other things besides Hardware..
