2004 Seadoo 4 tec jetboat. I took the oetiker clamp off the boot that clamped the shaft bearing. Now I don't have a clamp or plier to clamp it back on. Is it safe to use worm gear clamps and may be double clamp it? And if i have to use ortiker clamp, what is the right size? Thanks in Advance.

You can use a worm gear clamp but don't over tighten it. The driveshaft wont let the bearing pop out so your only concern is a oil leak.

I am so afraid that the bearing pops out and all the oil will spill and there is my engine.

Ps just curiosity, what the rpm at idle? Mine around 2000 and seem high. If it is high, how do adjust the idle speed? Thanks so much guys.
