Need to know what this hose is.

Hi,

I picked up a 93 SPX and I found a hose that isn't connected. I have the shop manual for it but I couldn't figure out where the other end connects to. Here is a picture of the hose and where it exits the seadoo (it connects to the white fitting in the picture). I found the end that isn't connected laying where the battery tray is.

Not certain, but could be the battery vent hose that connects to the battery vent. You said it ended near where the battery goes. Also, the battery vent hose is smaller diameter than the other hoses.

I found mine just laying there too, in my XP.

appears it is going into an air box so i agree its most likely a vent but its too big to be a battery vent, could possibly be a fuel tank vent but fuel lines arent normally clear tubing...ill check on an spx and let u know if i think of it

i checked on my xps and the fuel tank vent has a T at the top and then two vent lines, one going to the location in your pic and the other goes out a hole below the handle bars, just inside the storage area.
