need some help

just recently bought a 95 seadoo speedster with 85hp motors. I have an issue when I start off its like the motor is revving really high and it takes a minute for the boat to really take off. It will go forward but will not really get going. The previous owner told me it needs a new wear ring. Would this be the problem? Or do I have something more I need to replace if you were a guessing person? Thanks for the help

That boat is most likely wear rings, you have one for each pump.

When replacing rings what else should I look for and replace while doing it ?

I would:
check over impellers, clean up any nicks on the edges
change the pump oil and inspect the bearings in both
check both the driveshaft seal/bearing packs for good seals and bearings
check both driveshafts to make sure they're straight, and nice and smooth where the bearings ride
