need some help to get more rpms on 2008 challanger hp215

took it out only got 5500 rpms and top speed was 26 mph. any help would be great

If it only turns 5500 RPM I'd guess the engine isn't living up to it's potential. I'd check the supercharger for a bad friction clutch.

Early production 2008 Challenger 180 with superchargers had ceramic washers. I know, I have one and changed the washers out before they self destructed and blew my engine. My boat came off the production line May of 2008. Got that from the serial number. CECxxxxxE808, the E in the serial number is the 5th letter in the alphabet. The 5th month is May. The last two digits 08 is the year. It's that easy.

Make sure the hoses are connected very well at the SC. You can see if you can easily spin the SC by hand. If so it needs rebuilt.
