I have 1995 sea doo GTX 657. I rebuilt the pump - new wear ring, bearings, thrust bearing washer, and seal. ran great for about 8-10 uses. It is now making some scraping noise. I removed and looked in the great, it appears the impeller is ocasionall contcting the aluminum ahead f the pump / plastic wear ring. I cannot move the shaft axially at all so not sure how this is happening. it does not contact this area when turning it by hand
