ok guys tryed to read everything i could before posting but just cant find the answer i need. i have a 96 xp that was running great then it started cutting out and acting like it had a really low rev limiter. after looking for the answer on here i found that the voltage regulators good bad and cause problems that i am having. i unplugged the red wire and went for a ride my problem was gone so i order a new regulator and put it in. went out this weekend and it ran great again untill about halfway into my ride. same problem as before so i unplugged the new regualtor and it ran fine again. now what would cause 2 regulators to go bad? it has to be the regulator i can clearly see burn marks in the oem one. my first idea would be the stator what do u guys think? and if it is what replacement would u recommend a use one or new aftermarket brand?
