Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me the proper process for winterizing this boat. I have a 2001 Seadoo Challenger 2000 and have both manuals but no info on proper winterizing. I have heard various things regarding the mercury optimax with m2 drive not needing antifreez and it drains each time the boat leaves the water. Each year it costs me about $200 to winterize and if I could do this myself it would be great. Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks

That's great Aaron thanks very much! Do you know if it's the same process for efi and dfi? I can't recall what mine is offhand but it is an optimax 200 hp with the m2 jet drive.

Same procedure for either. I believe the 200 and 250 were DFI, and the 240 EFI.

Sweet, thanks again Aaron...gonna winterize this week. I only took my boat out 5 times this year...maybe have 6 hrs run time for the year. Everytime I go to get it winterized they tell me the oil is fine and they don't replace it. Last year I finally said, well replace it anyway cause It's included in the service pkg. Makes me wonder with the oil being so clean and barely used, and no need for antifreeze, boat stored indoors and stabilant used in fuel tank, what's the real need for winterization?
