So I got a seadoo 2001 gtx Di not long ago when I put it in the water the first time it kept throwing a 12v code I changed the rectifier and this stopped the code how ever at the same time this was going on i couldn’t get above 5mph on the water just wouldn’t run right at all spitting and sputtering on the water pull it out and you would never know anything is wrong runs like it should on a hose I am new to all this but going to start with fuel I have a new fuel pump and fuel filter on the way I am hoping that fixes the issue I also had a compression test done on the water both sides came up with 120 I was told that was a little low but not bad is there anybody that has heard this before and can give me some pointers thank you image.jpg?hash=29d7fd5e1da09e8af49dbe8afe1c0dca.jpg

Did you buy and aftermarket fuel pump or OEM?
Typically the aftermarket ones either don't make enough pressure or they pull too much power and the electrical system can't handle it.

Have you tried new spark plugs?

You really need to measure the fuel pressure instead of throwing parts at these DI skis. 107 psi exactly.

Buy any chance is those small hose coming from the engine to the Rave Valve solenoid disconnected? It could be broken. If it is connected and looks good put a napkin over the end of the hose and suck (you should get flow) and blow (you should not get flow). Or if you have a pressure/vacuum pump you could test it that way.

Did you test your voltage on your battery with the engine running? Pull the wire harnesses (gently) off the Computer. Particularly the one on the far right at the bottom. Don't break the locks. Just open them and don't use them to wiggle the plug off or they will break. What you are checking here is to see if there is moisture or Green stuff/corrosion in there. Those are good for Starters. Good Luck.

I haven’t done anything to the ski since buying it other then rectifier and spark plugs and it sat for sometime before that also I got a certain pump that is called 255 LPH maybe I am not sure exactly with a matching fuel filter I seen here that these skis take certain pumps

Yes, I don't think I can recall one aftermarket pump working correctly on these.

Some of the OEM pumps can be salvaged by cleaning them with a 50:50 mix of gas and toluene.
