i'm thinking about repairing my fuel baffle as staited here but concerned about electrical fire when i remove the F1 fuse. has anyone done this repair yet and if so please respond.i dont want to blow up on the water.haha

Thanks:)

You should remove the battery so you won't have to be concerned about a fire, Remove the battery before you do any repairs on an electrical item. Remove the Negative Cable first, then the Positive. When installing the battery install the Positive first, and the negative last so it won't have any sparks to produce a non-safe condition.

I think what he is worried about is the fuse. Or the lack of one. Will the lack of a fuse make it prone to a nice big explosion (ha ha) while out on the lake in front of his girlfriend? And then he will have to confess, I bypassed the F1 fuse in the baffle, and now he is the idiot.

Kind of like sticking a penny in the house wiring, because it keeps blowing fuses, when he makes coffee. And now the house burns down, due to over amping the house wires.
Does anybody know if bypassing the F1 fuse puts the ski at risk?

No it won't the guage still has an fuse in the electrical box. Besides it is only 12 volts and like a 2 amp fuse anyway. Sorry I misunderstood your question.
