As i have read these wear out over time. Mine wont hold up at all. currently using a stick, but thats pretty crappy and dangerous way to do it. I see a LOT on Ebay which are for jet skis, but none seem to be for the 2005 sportster or at least they dont list that model. Another poster here thought the OEM was too weak to hold up the hatch and mentioned finding another brand that could be adapted to use on the Sportster. Anyone have any info as to A. how universal (or not) these air struts are? and B. if it is worth it to upgrade to a stronger strut. Thanks in advance
