Im out on a lake and have my 97 gtx running around. I noticed that the stream of water that is supposed to come out of the back is weak and sometimes at idle not even coming out. I took it on the water and with full throttle it only goes to about 4800rpm. When i hit a few wakes the ski takes off and runs great, but as soon as i let off the throttle is has the same problem until i hits wakes again. I stopped and pulled the seat off, the exhaust hose and muffler is way too hot to touch. The motor wasnt super hot, i pulled off the hose for the water intake and started the ski, nothing came out.... any suggestions? Please i would like to enjoy my ski this weekend! Thanks in advance

You have a partly plugged cooling system... and a fueling issue.

My advice is to put it on the trailer so you don't kill the engine. THEN... once home... pull the carbs, and clean them properly. Check the fuel valve... and flush the cooling system.

Carbs are freshly cleaned and redone, entire fuel system changed from grey lines, and blew out all the collant lines. Took the pump off and found a little restriction in the intake for the cooling. Gonna take it back out today and try again
