The shift lever cable on my 2003 sportster 4tec 155 broke. I got the cable ordered and got in the middle of installing it today and ran into two issues:
- first: i broke the threaded section of the pin off that the cable attaches to at the reverse gate. looks to bit part#19 on the reverse gate diagram. sea doo part #204130037. how the heck do i get this pin out? i tried to knock it out with a punch, but it aint budging.
- second: In the parts schematics, I cannot seem to find the brass role pin that connects the shift lever to the shift cable. on the diagram for the reverse cable it is shown already installed and is not given a number. then on the shift control assembly diagram it is not shown at all. they show the connection for the throttle cable, but not the shift cable.

can someone point me in the right directions here? I really want to get these parts ordered and get this boat fixed and back on the water.

Is this right, I googled part 204130037

And I got this

I know it's a newer boat but probably works the same.. I know when I replaced mine it was easy did use wd40 works wonders for me

Yes, thats the same part. I tried to knock it out from right to left with a punch and hammer, but couldnt get it to move one bit. I'll try WD40 or some kind of penetrating lubricant, but i am afraid i will need some kind of press.

It does have a screw right? Did you unscrew it sorry for the dumb question

Mine has a threaded end, which is what broke off while tightening the nylon lock nut. but the other end is smooth and flush with the housing it rides in. no way i see to screw it out.
